Proudly Serving Atlanta, GA

Now is a wonderful time to shop for luxury SUVs because the top ones are setting new standards for performance, reliability and safety. Two top models are the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC Class (which includes the GLC 300, GLC Coupe, GLC 43, GL 63 and the GLC 63S) and the 2018 Audi Q7. These two brands boast strong performance, premium interiors and high resale value. We suggest you test-drive both, because we’re confident you’ll favor the solidity, value and features of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Class.

Power

The GLC 43 is equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 362 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. It overpowers the Q7’s top engine, a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 outputting 333 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. If you want more power, look at the Mercedes-Benz GLC 63, boasting 469 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Or consider the GLC 63 S Coupe that delivers 503 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. The GLC 300 provides 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft.

Safety

The Mercedes-Benz and the Audi both come with front seat-belt pretensioners and driver, passenger, front side, and front head curtain airbags. However, only the GLC Class gives you a driver knee bag, rear head curtain airbag, Front Airbag Deactivation via Child Seat Detection System, and rear pretensioners. The GLC Class safety features include Collision Prevention Assist Plus, Crosswind Assist and Pre-Safe, Electronic Parking Aid, Lane-Keeping Assist, Variable Assisted Steering, Active Blind-Spot and Distronic Plus Intelligent Cruise Control. The Audi offers only some of these features.

Features

The Mercedes-Benz GLC class offers standard features that are either extra-cost options or unavailable on the Audi Q7. Take, for example, the GLC has a nine-speed automatic transmission versus the Audi with an eight-speed. Features that are standard on the GLC Class but not on the Q7 include automatic adaptive variable suspension, front dual power headrests, front dual power lumbar support, Distronic Plus Intelligent Cruise Control, rear armrest storage, locking fuel filler door, and twin complex surface halogen headlights. GLC Class options not available on the Audi include automatic load leveling, cooled front seats, and a cargo net.
